Bonjour,

N'ayant que peu d'expérience en taille de fruitiers je suis un peu démunie fâce à mon pommier. Il vit en pot depuis une 15aine d'année et a été plus que négligé ce qui explique probablement sa forme un peu .. asymétrique.

Je pensais essayer de le tailler pour tenter de le rééqulibrer un peu, éviter qu'il penche autant, et eventuellement limiter sa taille en hauteur. Mais je n'ai aucune idée de comment faire cela et j'avoue que les conseils classiques de taille pour un arbre non formé ne m'aide pas trop ! Auriez-vous des conseils à me donner sur la marche à suivre ?

Bonjour,
Tout d'abord un pommier dans un pot de cette taille, c'est pour pour 2 ou 3 ans provisoirement, mais pas trop recommander pour plus. Pour moi trouver un emplacement en terre, ou bien un pot au moins 3 fois plus grand, ou du moins plus haut, pour que les racines puissent plonger plus profondément.
Ensuite un tuteur d'1m de diam 5 à 6 cm au centre, et replanter cet arbre dans un mélange de terre de jardin et de de sacs de compost du commerce. L'attacher correctement au tuteur, bien droit.
Ensuite couper à raz la partie qui semble plonger vers le sol et le laisser tranquille pendant 2 ans avant de tailler ce qui reprendra une forme convenable. Vous pouvez en attendant réduire des 2/3 le 4 plus hautes branches actuelles

Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse !
En effet, en voulant le dépoter, je me suis rendue compte qu'une grosse racine s'était ancrée dans le sol, d'ou peut-être le fait qu'il s'en sorte bien malgré la petite taille de son pot ..

Je vais devoir je pense couper cette racine pour le rempoter, pensez-vous qu'il soit trop tard dans la saison pour faire cela ? Vaut-il mieux attendre l'hiver prochain ?

Bonjour,
En le rempotant, essayez de garder la racine en terre la plus longue possible, d'où un pot plus haut.C'est encore bon pour cette année,mais avant le 15 mars si possible.
